Brussels-based Bureau of International Recycling (BIR) has announced it is accepting registrations for the October 2026 edition of its World Recycling Convention & Exhibition and is offering savings of up to 200 euros ($230) for delegates who register before Tuesday, Sept. 7.

BIR says the event in Málaga, Spain, will offer “two days of high-level business and market insights,” adding it expects more than 1,500 attendees from some 70 different countries.

By registering, delegates receive access to plenary meetings, the exhibition display room, networking areas and other convention center facilities, BIR says.

The organization’s division and committee meetings address recycling markets pertaining to ferrous and nonferrous metals, paper and board, plastics and end-of-life electronics.

BIR says it is working in coordination with Kuoni Tumlare Congress on attendee hotel room bookings, adding that there is a range of different hotels from which to choose.“Daily shuttles will run between the recommended hotels and the convention venue (FYCMA) from designated pick-up and drop-off points,” BIR adds, saying the shuttle service is complimentary for registered delegates.

Málaga is located in southern Spain along that nation’s Mediterranean Sea coast. The city’s visitors’ bureau describes Málagay as adjacent to mountains that “offer a natural barrier that protects it from the cold, giving it a climate with moderate temperatures due to the thermoregulatory influence of the sea.”

More information about the October 2026 BIR convention, including how to register, can be found on the BIR website.
