Equipment Introduction

GREENSORT Eddy Current Separator Description:
The GREENSORT eddy current separator is professional equipment for recovering non-ferrous metals from mixed waste. By utilizing alternating magnetic field repulsion, it efficiently separates aluminum, copper, zinc and other non-ferrous metals from plastic, stone, rubber and other non-conductive materials.
Applications:
Adopting a high-performance permanent magnet rotor and fully enclosed structure, the GREENSORT eddy current separator features stable operation, low power consumption and high recovery efficiency. It is widely used in scrap metal recycling, waste incineration ash treatment, e-waste processing and construction waste resource recovery, and supports 24-hour continuous operation for large-scale recycling production lines.
Applicable Materials
Separable materials: Copper, aluminum, zinc, brass, magnesium and other non-ferrous metals
Not suitable: Ferrous metals (iron must be removed by a magnetic separator in advance), stainless steel, plastic, rubber, glass, slag and soil
Typical Application Scenarios:
1.Shredded automobile scrap and wasted household appliance fragments
2.Steel slag processing and incinerator bottom ash aluminum recovery
3.Crushed aluminum plastic panels, shredded beverage cans and cable granulates
4.Construction waste, crushed photovoltaic frames and broken aluminum profiles

Working Principle
The GREENSORT eddy current separator is equipped with a high-speed rotating permanent magnetic rotor inside the separation drum, which generates an alternating high-frequency magnetic field. When conductive non-ferrous metals such as copper, aluminum, zinc, brass and magnesium pass through the magnetic field area, eddy currents are induced inside the metal particles. The eddy current creates a repulsive magnetic field opposite to the original magnetic field, pushing non-ferrous metals to bounce off the original trajectory. Non-conductive materials such as plastic, glass, stone and rubber continue to move forward along the original path. In this way, non-ferrous metals are automatically separated from other materials.
The GREENSORT drum-type eddy current separator is widely adopted in the recycling industry for automatic non-ferrous metal recovery.

Main Structure:
1. Permanent Magnetic Separation Drum Fitted with high-strength NdFeB magnets, the magnetic rotor speed is adjustable to adapt to different particle sizes.
2. Fully Enclosed Main Cabinet Dust-proof and noise-reducing design protects bearings and magnetic components, extending service life under continuous industrial operation.
3. Drive Motor and Automatic Lubrication System Supports long-term, stable and continuous production.
4. Independent Electrical Control Box Equipped with speed regulation function and convenient for linkage with the feeding conveyor.
5.I ntegrated Steel Base Convenient for hoisting, transportation and on-site installation.
Key Advantages:
1. High separation efficiency. The recovery rate of aluminum and copper can reach over 95-98% under proper feeding conditions.
2. Strong adjustability. Rotor speed and splitter baffle position are adjustable, suitable for materials ranging from 1mm to 120 mm.
3. Permanent magnet design, no excitation power required, low energy consumption.
4. Closed structure, dustproof and low noise, capable of 24-hour continuous production.
5. Low maintenance cost, few wearing parts and long service life of the magnetic system.

Patent Advantage:
1) High-Tech Eccentric magnetic rotor design:
2) 44 poles magnetic rotor design(Hi frequency model) for the fine(0-10mm) size material
3) 22 poles magnetic rotor design(standard model) for oversize 10mm size material
4) Highest grade of NdFeB magnet assembled inside the drum
5) High magnetic rotor speed reach up to 4000rpm

GECS Series Eddy Current Separator

Recommended Process Flow
Iron contaminants must be removed before feeding into the GREENSORT eddy current separator.
Standard process: Shredding → Magnetic Separator (Iron Removal) → Conveyor Belt → GREENSORT Eddy Current Separator
Note: Excessive iron fragments will wear the drum and interfere with the magnetic field, resulting in poor separation performance.
Selection Tips
Separation performance is heavily affected by material particle size.
Fine particles below 5 mm are more difficult to sort, and a special fine-grained model is recommended.
Thin lightweight materials such as aluminum cans and thin aluminum sheets generally achieve better separation results than solid heavy metal blocks.
