Brief:
The preshredder is mainly used for pre-shredding scrap steel and bales with a density less than 1.4 T/m³ into small pieces, and then sent to the hammer mill/shredder for further processing and sorting.
The top part of the pre-shredder has a hopper for feeding material. The metal bales with wire rope and steel bar cannot be processed, the bales length will be ≤1500mm, the sectional area will be ≤650*650mm
The pre-shredder has two rotating rotors driven by electrical motors with a ratio of 4:1.
The top Rotor feed the material into the pre-shredder while the bottom rotor rips the material apart. This reduces the size of the Material to be feed into the Main Shredder.
Working principleWorking principle
The front part of the pre-crusher is equipped with a discharge hopper. The feeding method is that the operators of the steel grab machine or electromagnetic suction disc place the pre-compressed waste car bodies or waste steel packed materials on the discharge hopper. Then, the hydraulic cylinder raises the front end of the platform and discharges the waste materials, allowing them to slide into the pre-crusher.
Inside the pre-crusher, there is a set of rotating rollers with scraper wheels. During operation, the hydraulic motor drives the lower rollers through a gear reduction mechanism, and then a pair of gears connect the upper and lower rollers, forming a certain speed ratio. The speed difference and the interlacing of the cutter teeth can break down the car bodies and waste steel packed materials into appropriate sizes. Then, they are transported (or by other conveying methods) to the feed inlet of the crusher for more efficient final crushing and decomposition.
Application:
It is mainly used for pre-shredder the car body or metal bale (Steel、Aluminum), tearing them into small pieces or strips. The processed products are then sent to the crusher for further crushing, serving as a pre-treatment process before the crusher.
