Equipment Introduction

Polishing Drum Description:
GREENSORT Polishing Drum is a professional rotary polishing and pre-cleaning machine for recycled metal recycling lines. It is specially developed for crushed aluminum, copper and other non-ferrous metal scraps. Through continuous tumbling and mutual friction of materials inside the drum, it strips plastic film, grease, oxide scale, dust and surface coatings from metal scraps, purifying and brightening metal materials to boost sorting efficiency and product quality.
It is widely installed after shredding and before magnetic separation, eddy current separation and XRT intelligent sorting.
Structural Features:
Segmented rotary drum structure
The front section works as friction polishing zone. Materials rub and collide mutually to clean surface contaminants. The middle section adopts perforated screen plates. Dust, plastic fragments and sludge peeled off during polishing can be sifted out in time to avoid re-adhesion on metal surfaces. The drum is made of thickened steel plate with strong wear and impact resistance.
Stable gear ring & chain driving system
Power is transmitted via motor, chain and large gear ring, delivering high torque and stable rotation. Heavy-duty supporting rollers ensure high concentricity, low noise and stable operation without deviation under long-term load.
Adjustable rotating speed
Variable frequency drive is optional. Operators can adjust rotation speed according to material size and dirt level to control friction duration, balancing polishing effect and preventing excessive deformation of thin metal sheets.
Integrated wear-resistant screen structure
The drum is equipped with integrally formed wear-resistant screen panels with standard 5mm apertures, which can effectively remove 0-5mm fine powder. The screens adopt detachable modular installation, and aperture sizes can be customized on demand for convenient inspection and quick replacement.
Optional fully enclosed dust housing
Sealed dust cover with dust extraction interface is available to collect dust and light fractions generated during polishing, meeting environmental emission standards.
Working principle:
shredded metal scraps are fed into the rotating drum. Materials are lifted and tumbled continuously to create mutual friction and collision. Surface contaminants are peeled off, and fine impurities pass through the screen in real time. Clean metal materials move forward to the discharge outlet after surface polishing.
